Landscape, as an art genre, served as an open invitation for viewers to populate it with their own stories. In western culture, for centuries hijacked by the majesty of faith or powers, and recently by hubris of authors' imaginations that reduced them to stage of shapes and colours, the attributes detached from their functions in our lives.
I go out there to embrace the spaces of history, meaning, and Life's tiresome work. Often just to contemplate echoes of friendships once forged there, like old, enduring story lines.
